Silent Dance on a Darkened Stage

Silent Dance on a Darkened Stage is a 20 by 16 inch acrylic painting. The composition centers on two vases set against a deep black background—one rounded beige, the other geometric light blue—each holding stylized plants with bold leaves in varying greens. Yellow branches with red berries cross the space, creating subtle movement. I chose a black background to make the colors and shapes stand out sharply. This piece grew from my ongoing love of plants and a desire to explore form through clear, confident shapes.
