*Venice Canal Scene*

Venice Canal Scene is a 20 by 16 inch oil painting that captures a quiet moment on a Venetian canal. I worked with thick, textured brushstrokes to bring the water, buildings, and gondola to life. The scene balances warm tones of the architecture with cool greens and muted sky colors. I wanted to reflect my love for Venice through a full view of the canal, the arched bridge, and the gondolier navigating the water.
